WHY I'M RUNNING FOR STREET CHILD CHARITY

In 2016 I had the opportunity to visit Sierra Leone for work and I was both amazed and saddened by what I saw. I was taken back by the stunning natural beauty and vibrancy of parts of Freetown, but also saddened by the lack of opportunities there seem to be for so many young people. I had the opportunity to speak to a few young men and women about how they saw their futures progressing in education and employment, and there seemed to be an overwhelming sense of uncertainty that laboured their responses to me. I saw the hope rise from their core when we spoke about potential national leaders with progressive ideas for raising the country from it's current social economic state via initiatives and investment strategies. Which gave me hope and inspired me to capture more of what I saw out there. I pray that those leaders truly seize the opportunity to make Sierra Leone a great nation once again. In the mean time I want to be an agent of progress myself and support the future leaders through valuable education initiatives like those offered by the amazing charity STREET CHILD. Who have made it their mission to help young people in some of the poorest and rural places in the world, have access to quality education. I'm honoured to support their work. www.street-child.co.uk

So please support me as I run to raise £2000.00 to train and pay the salaries of 20 school teachers in rural schools for a whole (1) year.
